Practicum Placements
I offer clinical supervision for practicum placements for students in therapy-related graduate programs from a variety of colleges and universities. If you are a student interested in a placement please send me a message below letting me know more about you, your program, and the hours you would need to complete. I will get back to you and let you know if I am accepting any student applications for the upcoming semester.
What you can expect from a placement with me: opportunities to learn and grow in an interdisciplinary health centre setting, opportunities to see clients on a pro bono or reduced fee basis, education around a variety of clinical models used in my practice (including CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, Mindfulness and Solution Focused approaches), and indirect client work in planning workshops/groups/courses, group facilitation (depending on groups running). You will also have the opportunity to learn the basics of running a private practice and/or a group practice.
PLEASE NOTE: As a Registered Social Worker I am only eligible to supervise MACP students if they have already received their Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) status prior to beginning placement - this means you must have completed 90% of your course work and applied with the CRPO. MSW students can be supervised in both first and second year placements, though priority is given to second year students or those with previous clinical experience.
